They need a logo that truly represents the franchise...
Maybe a desolate Island with a giant rollercoaster on it. |

New logo should just be the Colosseum with a circus tent draped over it. |

Today on BD's Troll comment section we have:
Devils fan making fun of the Islanders losing JT. Forgetting he is a fan of the team that went through this .... losing Parise and Kovy and have not recovered since.
Toronto fans who have not won a thing in my lifetime and I am almost 50.
Edmonton fans who somehow had about 7 first picks over-all and manage to still stink and trade most of them away every year.
Flyer's fan who are really really excited they got JVR back but fail to remember they have not won sht since the 70's.. but think they are superior to Isles. (enjoy A-Mac)
Aaaand a Carolina fan who are looking at missing the playoffs for the 10th year in a row but still think they are relevant. good luck with deHaan.. I'll take the under on 45 games a year healthy.
I'll see myself out.. |

What do you consider superior? 2nd best winning percentage of all-time in the regular season? Most playoff games played by a non-original 6 team?
Have the Islanders even sniffed a Stanley Cup final since their glory 80's? See you in the playoffs in 15 years! |

Was there really a belief that isles third jersey would have fisherman. thank god no.
Btw, looking into isles season tickets. Nassau Coliseum seats are slim pickings at this point. But plenty of seats at the barclays.
part of me thinks, Belmont is never going to be built and Isles are just going to come back to Nassau forever. as they should. |

Why hire a Director of Goaltending when you still have Garth Snow on the payroll? He is literally doing nothing |

garth snow was doing nothing when he was GM of isles so why would it be any different. Garth Snow was also a lifetime backup goalie, so what expertise would he have on goaltending.
Garth Snow and Capauno both went to university of Maine. So did Ben Bishop. 5 years ago Ben Bishop was acquired by tampa bay for cory conacher and 4th round pick. So even when a good goalie right unders his nose Snow couldnt see it.
Korn is one of best goalie coaches of all time. If isles have a shot to suprise the league its going to be via great coaching and some great talent we still have on this roster. |

he gets paid out (plus contract penalties for dismissal) so this could be near about $18-$20 million or so in pay-out.

Toronto is cup favourite. Carolina has had a good team the last 3 years but can't buy saves, they also added a top 10 defenceman. Phili is the weakest of the mentioned teams imo. Jersey relied on hall and barely sneaked in and I think they may take a step backwards this year. If Edmonton doesn't make the playoffs this year I would be surprised. |
